New report on delivering opiate replacement therapy

Published on 27th October 2016

Edinburgh ADP has commissioned a report to review its approach to the delivery of opiate replacement therapy (methadone, buprenorphine) within the city. The report sets out a number of changes that are needed to ensure that people have access to this treatment as a part of package of recovery oriented treatment. The report recommends further integration between the nursing, social work and third sector teams; quicker access to this treatment for those who need it; and a stepped care model for delivery.
