Supporting Drug and Alcohol recovery in Edinburgh

Reducing alcohol and drug problems in Edinburgh

EMORS (Edinburgh and Midlothian Offender Recovery Service)

EMORS provides for individuals returning to Edinburgh and Midlothian from any prison who want to access through care support including young offenders, individuals within the community who are involved in the criminal justice system and individuals within HMP Edinburgh experiencing problematic drug or alcohol misuse.

EMORS provide a case management approach to individuals within the court system through our arrest referral service thus enabling service users to integrate into their neighbourhood with an appropriate care package. Within HMP Edinburgh we provide psychosocial support to prisoners with drug and alcohol issues in the form of one to one and group work. Our through care service which includes gate pick up on day of release provides a similar case management approach to prisoners on liberation. Continuation of service and worker throughout this journey is prioritised.
