Residential rehab is an essential, lifesaving treatment; for those who need and choose it it offers a pathway to safety, recovery and a substance-free life.
Residential Rehab in Edinburgh is provided mostly through the Lothian and Edinburgh Abstintence Programme which is delivered in Edinburgh, by NHS Lothian (and partners). However, through the council’s Residential Rehabilitation referral team, people can also be supported and funded to use other rehab units if they are more suitable.
What happens after referral is best described by speaking to one of the teams, but this diagram also shows it. Rehab Edinburgh Pathway
